Add Vibee to ChatGPT on the web and find out which permissions you need.

Before you start

You can connect Vibee to ChatGPT on the web using developer mode. On the Pro plan, you can use Vibee tools to write, edit and delete. Available actions depend on the tools Vibee provides and your account permissions.

How to connect Vibee

  1. Open ChatGPT on the web (chatgpt.com). Custom apps do not work in the mobile app.

  2. On a personal Pro plan, turn on developer mode in Settings → Apps → Advanced settings → Developer mode. In a business workspace, an admin must first enable developer mode in Workspace Settings → Permissions & Roles → Connected Data → Developer mode / Create custom MCP connectors. On Enterprise and Edu, an admin must also grant you access. On Business, only admins and owners can create apps.

  3. In settings, open Apps and choose Create. Admins and owners can also create an app from Workspace settings → Apps → Create. Enter a name, such as Vibee, and this address:

  4. Choose OAuth as the authentication and select Scan Tools. Sign in to Vibee (you can create the account right there), allow access and wait for the tools to load. Then select Create. Vibee shows up in settings with a Dev label.

  5. Start a new chat, pick Vibee from + (or type @Vibee) and describe the app you want. The selection applies to one message. Mention Vibee again in a follow-up only when you need new data or another action; it is not needed just to continue the conversation.

In a business workspace, an admin can make Vibee available to the whole team by choosing Publish under Workspace settings → Apps → Drafts. Everyone can then find Vibee in their settings and connect with their own Vibee account.

What to ask after connecting

Sign in or create a Vibee account when prompted. Then try: “Create a service order tracker with status, technician, and due date.”

Permissions and security

Connecting lets Vibee work with the apps and data in your Vibee account. ChatGPT may ask you to confirm an action based on the app permissions and context; it may block some sensitive actions. You can remove the connection in ChatGPT settings at any time.

Does Vibee work on the Pro plan?

Yes. Turn on developer mode in ChatGPT Pro and add Vibee as a custom app. You can use its available tools to write, edit and delete.

Why can’t I see Create or Developer mode in settings?

On Pro, open Settings → Apps → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode. In a business workspace, an admin must enable developer mode first. On Enterprise and Edu, an admin must also grant you access. On Business, only admins and owners can create apps.
