For app owners
Connect your own domain
Put your app at a company address such as bookings.yourcompany.com.
Before you start
You need a domain you own, access to its provider’s settings and the Own domain extension for this app. The extension does not register a domain. One app can have one custom domain.
Connect step by step
Enter the address
Choose the app in management and open Own domain. Enter a name such as bookings.yourcompany.com, without https:// or a page path, and save.
Copy the domain settings
Open DNS, the settings that direct your domain to a website, at your domain provider and create the records exactly as shown in Vibee. One points the address to the app; the verification TXT record proves you control the domain. Do not change your business e-mail records.
Verify the domain
Return to Vibee and click verify. If it does not pass yet, check the values and try later; provider changes may take time to become visible.
Open the address
After verification, open the link shown and check the page and secure connection. The original app address remains available.
A domain for customers
If customers should only see the website or booking form at this domain, ask your assistant to configure the public part and home page. Internal teamwork can remain at the original app address.
On this app’s custom domain, show only the public website and booking form. Make booking the home page; keep the internal diary and staff sign-in at the original app address.
Change or disconnect it
You can disconnect the domain in the same panel. The app keeps working at its original address. When changing domains, give customers the new address and check links in your e-mails.
