For owners and users
Invite a co-author
Invite a colleague to help edit your app. You can remove their access at any time.
Invite and accept
Send an invitation
Choose the app in your dashboard and click Co-authors. Enter your colleague’s email and choose Send invitation.
Your colleague accepts
They choose View invitation in the email. The page shows who invited them, which app they will work on and what they can edit. They only gain access after clicking Accept invitation. The link is valid for 7 days and stops working after acceptance.
Prepare and review changes
Your colleague finds the app under Shared apps in their account. In their AI chat, they include its name or address and describe a text or layout change. They review the prepared changes in a preview first. App users see them only after publication.
What a co-author can edit
A co-author can change text, appearance and page layout. They use the data and features already on each page. They can also prepare a new page without a data connection. As the owner, you add the connection.
You continue to manage database settings, app features, access, billing and invitations for other co-authors. Editing access does not replace access to use the app. You set that up separately.
What data a co-author can see
An accepted co-author can see data in the preview that ordinary app users may not have access to. Restrictions based on their roles or limited to their own records do not apply in the preview. Invite someone you also want to give access to this data.
A co-author can also publish prepared changes. Publication does not require separate approval from the owner. Agree on who will review the result and when to share it with the team.
How to use the previewPermissions when using the appResend an invitation or remove access
The co-author list shows who has accepted and who is still waiting. Send again emails a new link; the previous link stops working.
Remove access prevents your colleague from making further edits to this app, even if they are currently signed in. If they have not accepted the invitation, its link stops working.
After accepting, your colleague signs in to their account with an email code. When accepting, they enter the email address that received the invitation. If they are already signed in, their account email must match the invitation. A mismatch shows that the invitation is not valid for this email and prevents acceptance. If they reload the page before accepting, they reopen the email link.
