For app owners

App appearance and language

Change colours, labels and the icon, or prepare the app in several languages.

Before you start

The owner changes appearance and text by asking their assistant. Prepare the app name, company colours and logo if you have one. Appearance changes can affect several apps using the same colour scheme; ask to change only the selected app when that is what you need.

Match your company’s style

  1. Describe readability and controls

Say whether the team works on phones, tablets or computers. You can ask for larger text, a clearer form or fewer details in the mobile overview.

  2. Specify colours and names

Provide company colours and exact field or page renamings. Prefer names your team uses in everyday work.

  3. Check the result

Try both phone and computer and light and dark modes if the app offers them. Check readability, forms and the visibility of main actions.

An overview for technicians
Change the appearance of this service app only. Use our dark green colour, readable text and job cards on mobile. Keep data and functions. Rename Description to Reported fault.

Titles based on the open record

A detail page can show the customer’s name or job number in its title. The same data can appear in an editing panel’s heading or an action confirmation. This makes it easier to identify the record you are working with.

The menu or a page still loading may show only the general part of the title, such as Job. When you edit a title directly in the preview, you edit its template. Keep the parts in braces if they should still be filled from the record.

Clear detail and confirmation titles
In my service app, show the job number and customer name in the detail heading. Identify the same job in the editing panel heading and deletion confirmation so it is clear which record I am working with. Keep data and features and prepare a preview.

Add another language

Ask your assistant to add a language and translate names, forms, actions and messages. A switch appears in the app and the other language has its own page addresses. The language switch in Vibee guides does not configure your apps’ languages.

Client names, notes and other stored data are not translated automatically. If the app changes the displayed currency, ask which rate is used; it is not an automatic live exchange rate.

A Czech and English app
Add English to this app and keep Czech as the default. Translate the menu, form labels, buttons and confirmation messages. Keep the same data and check that the switch works on detail pages and sign-in too.

Check before sharing with the team

Walk through an everyday task in both languages, from sign-in to saving a record. Also try an error message and links from e-mails.
