Photos, attachments and signatures

Before you start

The form needs a field for a file, photo or signature. Allowed types, size and file count depend on the field and app capacity. Ask the owner to add a missing feature.

A file or photograph

1. Open the form

   Choose to attach a file in a new or edited record. A photo field can use the camera when your device and browser offer it.

2. Wait for the upload

   Check the file name or preview and any error message. For multiple attachments, verify that all required files have uploaded.

3. Save the record

   Uploading an attachment alone does not confirm saving the whole form. Submit the form and check the attachment in the record details.

Signatures and documents

Draw your signature in the signature field with a finger, pen or mouse. If it goes wrong, clear the drawing with its button and sign again. Wait for the signature to upload, then save the form.

If the app offers a PDF, download it using the record’s button. The document is generated from current stored data; later changes can also change a newly downloaded document. Save the downloaded file if you need to keep a particular version.

If you cannot add an attachment

Check the permitted file type and size and your connection. For the camera, check browser permissions. The owner handles storage limits. Give them the error code if the upload fails.
